What Does It Mean To Be A Social Justice Church?

Riviera Church has a long history of protesting social injustices wherever they may be

As a social justice church at Riviera, we have a long history of protesting injustices wherever they may be. Part of being a social justice church is we are committed to carrying on this practice as we “reflect the path of Christ.” We encourage you to take part in our letter writing campaigns to your elected representatives and to others and in other forms of social action relating to issues such as war, poverty, health care, the environment, economic disparity, and foreign policy. Watch for opportunities to take part in this very important mission.

Presbyterian Efforts for Social Justice: The PC (USA) Office of Public Witness, which is the public policy information and advocacy office of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), advocates and helps the church to advocate the social witness perspectives and policies of the Presbyterian General Assembly. Their Action Alerts are available online at http://officeofpublicwitness.blogspot.com/ or via email by subscribing at http://capwiz.com/pcusa/mlm/signup.
